Blogging about blogging about blogging

Via Gothamist comes the revelation that the good ol' Spec has launched three new blogs. Somewhat odd is that the URL for the alumni website, effectively a blog, that I made for them now points to the ad sheet. I'll have to tell someone about that. The Spec blogs currently look like shite in Safari. I will have to tell someone about that as well.

In other Spec/blogging news, Jesse Oxfeld, the Editor of Gawker, will be speaking at this year's Blue Pencil Dinner after Floyd Abrams backed out. Am I going to ask Oxfeld whether he sees blogging as being analogous to a "one-man circle jerk"? Yes.

Beep Beep Beep Beep, Yeah!

Cars are scary. They're big steel machines of doom. I do not trust that a car I operate won't just stop working as a drive it. I fear running over nails. I fear psycho people in lanes next to me losing their minds and making sharp turns of their steering wheels to crash into me...for no reason. No one (aside from Jeff) at all understands my fear of driving. Not just, "driving at night is a little creepy." We're talking nightmares. Every bad dream I have that I can remember involves me operating a vehicle careening out of control. Me driving a vehicle without brakes. Having to merge into traffic and not being able to maneuver the steering wheel. I drove a bit growing up (living in a Florida suburb, you kind of had to), but unlike the majority of my friends, I didn't have my own car. Some small updates

A. We're married (yay us!), and much love to all our friends, family, and especially parents who made our wedding so wonderful. There are various sites cropping up around the Internet with unauthorized paparazzi pictures, and I won't condone that sort of thing by linking to them (if you have uploaded any, I guess you can link to them in the comments to this post). When there are some sort of official pictures available, I'll let folks know. B. We're on our honeymoon (yay us!), and while we obviously have Internet access in the room, we're doing our best not to be huge nerds and we're getting out and enjoying St. Kitts. I've already uploaded some photos to Flickr that you can check out now , and as I take more, more will be uploaded to the same photoset. The photoset has been updated with a bunch more pictures, and I think Sheryl will be uploading some of her own to her Flickr account as well.
