Happy birthday, Josh!

34 is all about baking, following a successful joint-baking effort that produced delicious lemon bars yesterday. (Sheryl let me be sous-baker!) We baked the bars to bring to Rich and Adele's for dessert in honor of Adam's birthday, and they were enjoyed by all.

Baking, I must say, is about a thousand times more involved than cooking, and I don't think I have the will or inclination to take on primary baking duties anytime soon.

    Yet baking is so much more fulling than regular cooking. Seeing the excitement on someone's face when they see your chocolate cake is much more exciting than their reaction to a squash soup, for example.

Beep Beep Beep Beep, Yeah!

Cars are scary. They're big steel machines of doom. I do not trust that a car I operate won't just stop working as a drive it. I fear running over nails. I fear psycho people in lanes next to me losing their minds and making sharp turns of their steering wheels to crash into me...for no reason. No one (aside from Jeff) at all understands my fear of driving. Not just, "driving at night is a little creepy." We're talking nightmares. Every bad dream I have that I can remember involves me operating a vehicle careening out of control. Me driving a vehicle without brakes. Having to merge into traffic and not being able to maneuver the steering wheel. I drove a bit growing up (living in a Florida suburb, you kind of had to), but unlike the majority of my friends, I didn't have my own car. Some small updates

A. We're married (yay us!), and much love to all our friends, family, and especially parents who made our wedding so wonderful. There are various sites cropping up around the Internet with unauthorized paparazzi pictures, and I won't condone that sort of thing by linking to them (if you have uploaded any, I guess you can link to them in the comments to this post). When there are some sort of official pictures available, I'll let folks know. B. We're on our honeymoon (yay us!), and while we obviously have Internet access in the room, we're doing our best not to be huge nerds and we're getting out and enjoying St. Kitts. I've already uploaded some photos to Flickr that you can check out now , and as I take more, more will be uploaded to the same photoset. The photoset has been updated with a bunch more pictures, and I think Sheryl will be uploading some of her own to her Flickr account as well.
